Beautiful Destinations Cookie Notice

Last updated: 13 April 2026
Effective date: 13 April 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how Beautiful Destinations Limited ("Beautiful Destinations", "BD", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on beautifuldestinations.com (the "Website") and within the Content Operating System (the "COS"). It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website or app. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, and software development kits. In this notice "cookies" covers all of them.

We classify cookies in two ways.

By who sets them. First-party cookies are set by BD. Third-party cookies are set by a service we use, such as an analytics provider.

By how long they last. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

2. The categories we use

We group cookies into four categories. The cookie banner you see on your first visit lets you accept or reject each category except Strictly Necessary, which we need to run the site.

Strictly Necessary (always on)

These cookies let the Website and COS work. They remember your session, keep you signed in, balance load across servers, and protect against fraud. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will not work.

Examples: session identifiers, CSRF tokens, load balancer cookies, cookie-consent record.

Functional (optional)

These remember choices you make, such as language, region, or video playback settings, so you do not have to set them again. We use them only if you accept.

Analytics (optional)

These help us understand how people use the Website so we can improve it. They tell us which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where errors happen. We use them only if you accept.

Providers we use: Google Analytics 4, HubSpot.

Marketing and advertising (optional)

These are set by embedded content, such as YouTube videos on our pages. They help the provider measure engagement with the embed and serve relevant content. We use them only if you accept.

Providers we use: YouTube (Google).

3. Full list of cookies

The list below reflects the cookies set on a typical visit, based on our most recent scan. It changes as we update the Website, so the live list inside the cookie banner is the source of truth. You can open the banner at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer.

4. OAuth connections are not cookies

When you link a Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or LinkedIn account to the COS through OAuth, no cookie is set on your device for that platform. We store an access token on the server. See Section 7 of the Privacy Policy for detail and revocation steps.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of Marketing and Advertising cookies and, for California residents, as an opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Most browsers do not send a clear "Do Not Track" signal, so we ask you to set your choices in the cookie banner.

6. How to change your choices

  • Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
  • Clear cookies in your browser. Each browser has instructions at its help centre (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
  • Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google opt-out browser add-on.
  • Manage cookies on a device level with the Your Online Choices tool (EU) or the DAA WebChoices tool (US).

7. Children

The Website and the COS are not aimed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly set non-essential cookies for users we know to be in that age group.

8. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our cookies change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the most recent version.
